Ready to Hang

Was thinking about this book the other night, and from my parody point of view. That inspired the concept of an abstract with 50 shades of gray in it. This turned out very different from what I initially had in my mind, but grabbing a brush with no clear vision forward and pushing paint around will sometimes morph into it's own outcome.

Taking raw emotion, passion, and a little sarcasm I offer you "Fifty Shades of Gray"

There is bound to be more where this came from.

Ready to hang 24x30x2 gallery wrapped canvas. Signed on the back.

My methods are both painterly and detailed at times moving between more realism and abstract in style as I feel led by a painting. Most of my subjects span from experiences I have lived or passions I indulge in. Each piece captures my mood, thoughts, and desires at the time it was painted. I like to play light against shadow to set the mood of my work. I work with both Acrylic and Oil to accomplish my end results. Though I prefer Oil, I enjoy the energy that acrylics allow in my quick painterly style.

My name is Morphd Mo Hawk. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. Michael "Morphd" Montgomery began painting in earnest in high school, as a result of football injury. It was a way to take up time that was otherwise idle. He started with oil paint, but migrated to acrylics in College, where he began work on an Art major. While in College he eventually migrated to a Graphic Artist major where he spent hours upon countless hours drawing letters with mechanical pencil and creating precise illustrations. At this time he decided that he was more of a designer than illustrator, and pursued this concentration. Today he returns to his roots as a fine artist.
