Growing up around a lot of women, sisters, aunts, girlfriends I have come to find that most women suffer from the idea that they will never be beautiful enough. Society has brainwashed men and women alike to think that they are not good enough. You can always do better they tell you. Be skinnier, dress better, get that new house, new car, better career, whatever you have they want you to believe there is always something better. But as I see it, that is a load of bull. There is no such thing as a life that better than yours. Beauty is a light in the heart. No one is perfect but we are all perfectly flawed. There is a kind of beauty in imperfection. That is the idea behind this piece.
Painted in oil paint in an impressionistic manner this piece shows the brushstrokes and imperfections. The words of motivation written in enamel gives the letters , red ribbon, and her lips a raised glossy effect.

"Everything has its wonders even darkness and silence and I learn whatever state I may be in therein to be content ." Helen Keller . For me painting a somber image can alleviate a situation .The process puts my anguish into the open and out of the obscurity .The techniques used are intense and powerful at the same time meticulous and systematic.A certain proficiency is used. My work merges sinister or nefarious ideas and lovable, lighthearted conviction.

My name is Eric "Mobe" Bass. I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Now, reside in beautiful Ormond Beach, Florida. I am 28 years old. I live with my beautiful wife Anna and our Boston terrier Otis. I have been a full time artist for 5years. Mostly, working on large scale murals and company commissions. Now that I am living by the beach and have some time, I want to focus my attention on my gallery works. I've worked really hard, day and night, to become the artist I am today. I am self taught, so I go the extra mile to impress.
