Ready to Hang

his original oil painting on wood panel of a young girl is 12 x 18 inches and has a 1.5 inch border. It will come wired and ready to hang.

The girl in this painting is my cousin's daughter, who was diagnosed with autism. She is a beautiful girl inside and out, and is in daily therapy to help with her condition. I wanted to illustrate her journey in a unique way through layers of paint. To learn more about her touching story please visit my cousin's blog here. http://wheredidthebirdgo.com/

I am a Houston, TX based artist. My paintings revolve around themes of the mind and body, plants/nature, and expressive abstraction. I am always trying out new mediums but I mostly use oil paint, watercolors, gouache, and alcohol ink. I received my Bachelors degrees in both Painting and Photography in May 2010, and I completed my Masters in Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute in May 2012. Creating is a necessity for me, and I don't know who I would be without it. I crave that artistic release. I love connecting with people through my art, because each piece I create is a little part of me. I hope you like what you see, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out!
