The ocean is a vast and mysterious place. I created this piece as a reflection on being alone, with oneself, using the sea as a metaphor for this. The fog surrounding the woman in the painting represents the haziness of memory and the ambiguity of the mind.

This is an original oil painting on wood. The sides of the painting have been painted to match the background. The back will come wired and ready to hang with or without a frame.

I am a Houston, TX based artist. My paintings revolve around themes of the mind and body, plants/nature, and expressive abstraction. I am always trying out new mediums but I mostly use oil paint, watercolors, gouache, and alcohol ink. I received my Bachelors degrees in both Painting and Photography in May 2010, and I completed my Masters in Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute in May 2012. Creating is a necessity for me, and I don't know who I would be without it. I crave that artistic release. I love connecting with people through my art, because each piece I create is a little part of me. I hope you like what you see, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out!
