This paper-cut continues my "Morphing Technology" series. Here, a rose-ringed parakeet is depicted as braided USB cables, with an ear bud disguised as a beak. I enjoy the challenge of depicting various body-parts using only the imagery of electronics. As a colorful yet problematic invasive species, the parakeet symbolizes how technology finds its way into unexpected places.

The piece is crisply presented in a black wood composite frame and double white mat.
