It was early one morning on one of our Cornish beaches, I was looking for shells and other treasures the sea had brought for me that day. It was so early, quite blustery, and there was a chill in the Cornish air, so I was sure that no one else would be around. Then I saw two figures and a dog, seems like they had the same idea.
I hope that you will be transported to that Cornish beach when you gaze at the painting.
The best quality paints and canvas were used.
I am a romantic, and I paint anything that I feel is beautiful, that being said, I see just as much beauty in a dark stormy seascape, with crashing waves and swirling clouds, as I would in a calm still landscape of the English countryside with grazing cows in the sunshine.
I am essentially a impressionist landscape and seascape painter, but now and then I like to venture into the world of semi abstract, although I always come back to my first love.
I am an English Impressionist painter, and my studio is in Cornwall England, where I am sure the beautiful coastline and countryside inspire my work. There is something very special about the light here in Cornwall and it is home to the famous St Ives school of painters. I have sold my artwork and exhibited all over the world, and have been painting for over 40 years, but I still get a thrill from knowing that my art is on walls all over the world. I hope that you see something you like in my gallery, something that will make your world just a little more beautiful.
