This piece continues in the theme of landscapes by the water, and I used the same technique of scraping layers upon layers of paint. The one thing that I'm proud of with this piece is the gold paint that I used. I got some gold pigment from Canada that I mixed myself. It has the feeling and look of real gold, because it basically is. And yet it reminds me of the beach and the water and reflections.
I'm a San Francisco, CA based artist and typically focus on doing large scale abstract art. I've been fortunate to have had a number of shows in the past year, including one at Sotheby's, and I'm very happy to be supporting my friend Ethan from UVA as he launches this great company, which fulfills a definite need in the marketplace for artists.
