Ready to Hang
I was in Nashville last year and saw this amazing work done by a local artist there. His process mesmerized and captivated my thoughts for weeks. I had to try to do it myself and "Power" is one in a series of lion paintings that illustrate an emotion or attribute of God that I created in a similar method to the pieces I saw. The bold red shades demand attention and the fixed gaze is resolute in its posture. "Power" grabs ahold of you and won't let go.
"Power" is an encaustic beeswax ink transfer painting on canvas board.
