Abstract painting using liquid acrylic paints and after drying, coating with a thin layer of epoxy resin. While the paints are poured onto the wooden surface in a pattern, they tend to flow and blend on their own as the paints dry. This creates wonderful surprises and areas of interest. The application of the resin enhances the patterns and gives a sense of depth. This painting is done in a rich blue, beige and white. The edges are painted black so there is no need to frame. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
My name is Mary Kay Holladay. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I am a self-taught abstract artist. I love color! I enjoy seeing how different colors work together to give something entirely new and exciting. I started out doing representational art but a few years ago I decided to try my hand with abstract. It was so liberating that I now do no other type of art. I have found working with acrylics works well with this style. I hope you enjoy my work.
