Ready to Hang
These were some birds in the traveling exhibit at Roger Williams Zoo. They had parrots and parakeets flying all around you. Many of them stayed high above us and I imagined them having a "conversation" about us intruders. There was even a bird in "time out" for biting someone. It was a great exhibit that we really enjoyed, and inspired this painting.
This has a yellow ribbon for hanging, that is easily removed if you do not like it.
I am a self taught artist, living in a small picturesque town in Connecticut. I paint almost daily, in a bedroom turned studio in my home, and listen to the Joe Rogan Experience obsessively while creating my art. I create my art with oil paints, and canvas, and am inspired by almost anything. I think you never stop learning, and work hard to perfect my craft. I like my art to remind me of a beautiful place I have been with my family, or a tree blossoming at an old farmhouse. I basically like cheerful art that takes me to a place, or a beautiful scene. My home is full of art like this, as I believe your home should be your sanctuary, one that fills you with nostalgia and happiness. My painting “Happy Place” won 3rd place in an online contest, and I have also won a blue ribbon for my personal painting of “Ratatouille” and ribbons for other paintings. I’m always grateful when someone spends their hard earned money to purchase one of my paintings, or two, for their own sanctuary, and honored that they welcome my art into their home.
