Ready to Hang
This painting is ready to hang! The sides were painted for a gallery wrap look. It does not need a frame.
About my art: I am interested in the concept of perception and how this determines the way reality presents itself differently to each of us. Therefore, at a first glance my paintings include objects and settings that may attract the viewer by their simple beauty or the sense or recognizing what he sees, however, on a closer look the viewer may find himself questioning what he truly sees. My paintings are an attempt to bring to the surface what the eye doesn’t see in normal life experiences. I want to expose an alternate perception of reality, a reality that may be more truthful than what we think we see. On a more personal level, I intend to connect my past, my present, and my future, all in one instance.
One could say my paintings have a Surrealistic touch combined with influences of Impossible Art.
I am an artist, illustrator and graphic designer. My main medium is oil paint on canvas, but I also work with other materials such as pencil, watercolor, acrylic, etc, and obviously digital. I have a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design and a Masters degree in Fine Arts and Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I am very fortunate to dedicate most of my creative time to produce oil paintings which I have shown in several galleries in Texas, Louisiana, and Mexico. In 2012 I was invited to Valloria, Italy, to paint one of their doors as part of their outdoor museum. I have also participated in numerous festivals in Houston and Austin. Thank you for looking at my art!
