The images in my work draw on both art historical references and the day-to-day world around me.
This painting titled "Cicero" borrows a modernist idea wherein nature is seen as unstable and constantly in motion. Cezanne depicted this concept in his amazing paintings of the hills, valleys and mountains in the south of France. But in my case, the forms are invented. The eye is drawn into this field of energy in which everything is in motion.
My name is Mark Grim . I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
