These original VanDyke prints, I make using natural objects like this delicate fan coral. I love how this process expresses the beauty and simplicity found in nature. This process is made with ferric (iron) salts to reduce silver to its metallic state, and produce a brown print.. When exposed to light the paper prints a positive image and after development will result in these unique and rich tones. For each piece, I make all the chemistry and hand coat the cotton rag paper. The final print in then mounted on a wooden canvas.
