As the sky swirls with clouds and the wind picks up, three women, perhaps three contemporary graces or muses who have been enjoying a sunny day at the beach prepare to leave. One has wrapped herself in her striped towel and peacefully watches seagulls above, another folds her red one and the third pulls up her hair into a band. I like the mood and action of this painting. It's kind of an in-between moment.
