Here a woman by the pool seems to respond to someone nearby, hence the title I chose. But my main goal here was to create a very sculptural Picasso-like ( in his Classical period) woman who is going about the business of putting of her hair in preparation for a swim, or going home. I'm experimenting with colors, trying to use a neutral palette with hits of bright colors. I really like the results!
Award-winning contemporary figurative artist Marie Fox creates oil and acrylic paintings of curvy women who are strong, unselfconscious and simply going about the business of being themselves. Marie has created two paintings for The White House and her art has been featured on television’s The Today Show and the covers of two national magazines. She has been represented by galleries in New York, Boston, Nantucket, Charleston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. International collectors and major corporations including Panasonic and Toyota have purchased her art. Marie has sold over 50,000 art prints internationally. Thank you for visiting my Vango portfolio.
