Title: "Interlude"

Mixed media, palette knife, gesso, grease pencil and acrylic paint.

Navy, cream, lavender (Radiant Orchid for my Designer friends), putty,
coral, orange, gold, lime. You could easily design a room around this painting!

Looking for art and color for a large wall or space? This painting is actually
2 1/2" tall and sides are painted in wrap around style, so image continues, no
need for a frame unless you decide.

This is an original and abstract beach painting on gallery wrapped canvas.
Navy, cream, grays,
dark brown, hints of coral, and red, aqua, tiffany blue, dark blue, dark gold.
Pretty and kind
of understated, actually has a distressed look and feel. Not too sweet. Many layers
of paint and gesso in areas, plus some spattering and distressing.

Large painting is 24" x 30" (2.5 Feet) and has many layers of color. For this one I used acrylic
paint and gesso to layer for lots of texture. This painting hints at
ocean and coast, but in a very abstract manner.
Colors are navy, cream, khaki, aqua, turquoise, touch olive and some corals
to liven it up!

There are not a whole of I things I can think of, art related, that I haven't done at some point in time. I've been a graphic designer, a published poster artist, a freelance designer, a mural painter, and -my favorite of all - an inner-city high school art teacher here in Dallas at a wonderful school. For over 12 years I worked with interior design art reps and provided art for many high-end public and private spaces. The time has come for me to do more of my own PAINTING and I sure hope you enjoy seeing my art. I started painting in HIGH SCHOOL and never stopped.
