Ready to Hang
I created my Fiesta series while visiting my daughter in Atlanta, working at her dining room table. An art studio can be anywhere the artist chooses one to be! I lived in Albuquerque, NM in the mid-80s to mid-90s. We attended many art fairs and fiestas while there. I brought all the brilliant colors, textures and movement of those fiestas into this abstract series. Hope you like it!
For me, happiness is having a brush in my hand, paint on the palette and a canvas on the easel. I am self-taught from the age of 18, beginning with a set of oils and brushes and a few instruction books. I’ve taken various classes and workshops over the years, watch lots of art videos and my art instruction book collection has expanded greatly. My current focus is in abstract art. I live on the incredible Indian River in southeast Florida and the ever-changing colors of water and sky are an inspiration to me. Color is the most important element in my art. If that works, everything else falls into place.
