I wanted to create a piece about the emergence of Spring. The dark presence of winter that is void of color yet still beautiful in it's stalwart simplicity. Winter is unyielding in its grip of control. I see spring almost as a fierce beast that has to break through and fight for it's right to emerge.
I have an eye for what works and I work to paint a reflection of the beauty I see with my mind's interpretation. I live and love to create a piece of beauty. I am blown away by color and the endless possibilities to discover. My great Grandfather was one of the first people to own a kodak camera. He was a painter, woodcarver and photographer. I love that I inherited a piece of his soul!
