I drew a lot of sketches of a model in class and the assignment was to incorporate shoes into a project. I cross hatched this gorgeous woman in the clunkiest shoes I could think of. This is done in pen and nib with india ink on smooth bristol.
My name is Lucy Loo Wales. I am a current art student that will be transferring soon to go Major in Illustration at the Maine College of Art. My goals are to become a working graphic novelist or a comic book artist. I eat, breathe, and live art. I would not be who I am without it. I have been trying to brand my stuff a little more, so I created Lucy Loo Studios. I have a little Etsy shop (lucyloostudios.etsy.com) to sell original prints, bookmarks, greeting cards, and stationary. I have a blog (lucyloostudios.wordpress.com) and an online portfolio (lucyloostudios.deviantart.com) to try to get my artwork more noticed. I am only selling some of my art because I am working two jobs and still won't have enough money to pay for tuition and comfortably have enough food when going away. So in that case, I also do commissions. I have finished one comic called "Strangers With Memories" about a girl who is so alone she begins to talk to her shadow, and through the conversations the shadow begins to become and actual person. I am also currently working on a short 15-paged comic titled "Mr. Pillow Man" and a graphic novel named "Ordinary" about very unordinary events in the future regarding specific laws in America. Please be sure to check out my other sites and look at my portfolio! Any feedback would be much appreciated! And thank you for looking at my portfolio here! Danke!
