This piece, done with white charcoal on paper, was inspired by the feeling of suffocation and terror a lot of people experience during a state of sleep paralysis.
I'm a painting major at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, minoring in illustration. Growing up as a kid, I've always had a strong adoration for art and the process of creating it. It wasn't until halfway through my freshman year of high school that I really found myself getting into it, and wanting to make a career out of it. It hasn't been long, but since then I have dabbled in multiple different mediums, some that I hadn't even heard of as a kid, and found that, although it's fun to use different mediums, my heart lies with paint, specifically oil and acrylic.
