This piece was inspired by the saying, "like a moth to a flame." Instead of portraying a lit candle, or a fire even, I chose to personify the flame, and used warm colors to do so.

I'm a painting major at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, minoring in illustration. Growing up as a kid, I've always had a strong adoration for art and the process of creating it. It wasn't until halfway through my freshman year of high school that I really found myself getting into it, and wanting to make a career out of it. It hasn't been long, but since then I have dabbled in multiple different mediums, some that I hadn't even heard of as a kid, and found that, although it's fun to use different mediums, my heart lies with paint, specifically oil and acrylic.
