The main idea of this piece is to show how people often tend to hide who they really are. I approached it in a very literal way and decided to paint a figure stuck in another body.
I'm a painting major at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, minoring in illustration. Growing up as a kid, I've always had a strong adoration for art and the process of creating it. It wasn't until halfway through my freshman year of high school that I really found myself getting into it, and wanting to make a career out of it. It hasn't been long, but since then I have dabbled in multiple different mediums, some that I hadn't even heard of as a kid, and found that, although it's fun to use different mediums, my heart lies with paint, specifically oil and acrylic.
