The reason for "Smiles at Breakfast"-- My father and mother had a great love for each other for 55 years. My father was almost blind from glaucoma, but he would still manage to bring my mother Peonies at breakfast when they were in bloom. She never told him that they were covered in ants. She would just brush off the ants and smile because she knew how much these flowers meant to both of them.
I love color and texture. My pieces are heavy textured acrylics. Nature inspires me. As you can tell I love to paint flowers. I have recently ventured into many other subjects. I feel like my paintings can tell a story, because they are each a part of me. Look around, I'm sure you will find something that makes you smile! I enjoy using a palette knife to blend and swipe and scratch. Acrylics are my medium of choice!
My name is Lori Wilson Cook. I am a Vango artist from Memphis, Tennessee.
