(SOLD-2013) “ Like many of my paintings, I didn’t know what I was doing except as I was putting it on the canvas. That said, I did know my subject was a frog on account of my Twin and I deciding to paint the same subject but with our canvas split in two. She painted the green/blue side with the fae, and I painted the purple/fire side with the leaf-fish. We were working on this canvas at the same time, each on their side, and completed it at different times so we could include the final touches without bumping. It became one in a series of three frog paintings that were all purchased by the same collector with an admiration for frogs and a delight in our alien creations. NOTE: This series was seen and bought at the RAW: ELEVATION showcase in Cincinnati, OH. See a pdf article about the event here: http://www.lookpastit.com/SHOWs/RAW/ELEVATION.pdf “- M.E.

"Aloha! My name is Mandy Elliott and I'm a self-taught Artist originally from the Space Coast of Florida and now residing in the Heart of Virginia. Creating isn't just a passion for me, it's a part of me. I come from a background of artists, musicians, mechanics, engineers, and carpenters. One thing we all have in common is an ability to imagine something and then make it real. Some of us also share the ability to understand what others imagine and make that real. We are inventors and innovators. It's those skills which got me through a troubled home, and gave me success in the corporate world from Sales to Escalations Management. None of that fulfilled me though, and I had to ask myself why I limiting myself when I could unleash myself into something I love? Art. I'd been creating and selling my Art since 1998, but in 2010 I dove in to the part of me that creates from the inside. I've showcased in Melbourne Florida, Orlando Florida, Historic Kissimmee Florida, Cincinnati Ohio, and since September 2016 I have Artwork in an Earth Art collection in Space, courtesy of NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission to the asteroid Bennu. #WeTheExplorers ... I watched NASA launch shuttles from the Cape, viewed from my back yard as a kid, and now I have Art in Space. I'd say my life is complete but... creating Art isn't something I can just turn off anymore. I am an Artist." -M.E. ______________________ _______________________ [[ All artworks protectively sealed, ready to hang, professionally shipped with a certificate of authenticity (CoA), Artist Pamphlet, "Talking About Art is Hard..." greeting card to give insight and talking points about your specific painting(s), and a hand written note from the Artist.
