Ready to Hang
My favorite things to paint are all kinds of animals and water.
My favorite colors to use are blues, greens, pinks and purples. (Red and black are not on my palette.....probably cuz that was my most commonly used ink in tattooing).
I like bright and energetic colors!!!
I use all size canvasses, but seem to gravitate to large.
I enjoy doing graffiti (spray paint), acrylics and oils and use them randomly.
This piece is my favorite getaway subject: water! I can get lost in the canvas as I paint. I'm lucky that my studio overlooks water and it's not unusual to see a passing dolphins or manatee.
I signed the canvas on the bottom side so nothing distracts you from the view.
I coated it with varnish so it's wipe able and will last forever. Like the ocean.
My name is Lisa Fasulo. I live on an island in Florida where I get to see dolphins, manatees, sharks, parrots, eagles and osprey every day. I have been a lifelong painter, making it my career since I was 13 years old. I started out as a child painting driftwood and wicker baskets and as soon as my first painted basket sold at a local craft fair I knew I was hooked on selling my art. I went on to earn a BA degree in Art from SUNY Cortland in New York. I studied painting and art history in Siena, Italy in the early 80's. After a long career in hand painted clothing, I became a tattoo artist (I even had my own TV show!). After 15 crazy and zany years in the tattoo biz I longed to get back to painting. So here I am! Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
