Ready to Hang

WAITING IN LINE 2009 oil on masonite board. 9x12, framed 14x17x1
Waiting in line at Cafe Besalu, a long line, is exactly what I have done many times. Yes, it's worth the wait.
The frame is black and is both wired and hooked, ready to hang.

My hope is that my work is not only seen by you but also felt. If my paintings evoke a feeling, emotion, memory or simple smile, I've accomplished what I started out to do.

I truly love to paint because it feeds my soul. Self taught, and feeling little restraint, I paint in various styles, from my own perspective. The accuracy of my paintings originates from years of working on scale models. I prefer to paint in acrylic for certain subjects but do like the feel of oil and canvas. Currently I live and paint in Ballard, a young, hip district of Seattle Washington. A lot of revitalization has happened in the last decade. I find it easy to tap into the energy.
