MIRAGE COMFORT SHOES 2011 12X12X.50 acrylic on art board
This was Wallingford's best shoes store until the owners retired in 2014. It was a shoe store that cared about its customers. Its painted on the sides and wired, ready to hang.
My hope is that my work is not only seen by you but also felt. If my paintings evoke a feeling, emotion, memory or simple smile, I've accomplished what I started out to do.
I truly love to paint because it feeds my soul. Self taught, and feeling little restraint, I paint in various styles, from my own perspective. The accuracy of my paintings originates from years of working on scale models. I prefer to paint in acrylic for certain subjects but do like the feel of oil and canvas. Currently I live and paint in Ballard, a young, hip district of Seattle Washington. A lot of revitalization has happened in the last decade. I find it easy to tap into the energy.
