Ready to Hang
FREMONT BRIDGE #2 2014 oil on canvas 24x8x1.5
Span stretches from Fremont, "the center of the Universe",to Lower Queen Anne over water that connects Puget Sound to Lake Union. Close by are many houseboats.
No need to frame it because I've painted the sides and the back is wired ready to hang.
My hope is that my work is not only seen by you but also felt. If my paintings evoke a feeling, emotion, memory or simple smile, I've accomplished what I started out to do.
I truly love to paint because it feeds my soul. Self taught, and feeling little restraint, I paint in various styles, from my own perspective. The accuracy of my paintings originates from years of working on scale models. I prefer to paint in acrylic for certain subjects but do like the feel of oil and canvas. Currently I live and paint in Ballard, a young, hip district of Seattle Washington. A lot of revitalization has happened in the last decade. I find it easy to tap into the energy.
