I consider my Abstract paintings to be my True Artists language. The process is 'No Process'. My desire is for the completed canvas to act as a 'photograph of the soul'. Just as 'the camera doesn't lie' principle, the application of paint to canvas will act like a camera catching a 'soul moment'.

As a Fine Artist, my constant and rooted disciplines are Fine Art, drawing & painting. At seventeen I was accepted to the prestigious Glasgow School of Art and went on to travel extensively in order to develop my Portfolio. Driven by the desire to find a place of Great Light to enhance my creative work, Greece was my first port of call and my constant point of return during the intervening years. Like many fellow Artists, I have also been compelled to explore other mediums of creativity. Sometime in the late 80’s while camped out in a tiny village in the mountains outside of Heraklion in Crete, instinct pointed the compass northward to London in order to pursue wider creative horizons. For most of the 90’s I advanced my career in Music & Drama, first as a singer/songwriter, then onto Theatre, TV & Film in various guises. Throughout this process, Fine Art, drawing and painting were constantly anchored as my parallel creative path. As a performing artist, I somewhat incongruously also felt a deep seated yearning for anonymity eventually choosing to retreat again behind the Canvas and Camera the moment I began straying too close to advancing from a ‘household face’ to a ‘household name’. The changing tide of Visual Media in the early 2000’s provided the perfect impetus to retreat to the Light and Artistic fundamentals. This time I chose Cyprus, then ocean going, more European travelling and eventually a two year sabbatical in New Zealand. I am now back in Greece working from my Studio in Crete. Regular solo exhibitions Internationally have resulted in much of my original artwork transferring to Private and Public Collections via commission, purchase and gifting. With both life and art, 'Creative Freedom' has been my constant ambition and I discovered long ago the best way to achieve that is to remain as truly Independent as humanly possible. Whether Art or Filmmaking, I think I can say I have come a long way to achieving that.
