I have been working on several Osprey paintings while also struggling between listening to the voice that says paint realism vs. the voice that says impressionism is the way to go....in our travels in Wyoming i found myself in awe of these beautiful birds....so i am leaning towards listening to the voice that says lean heavily on realism....how else can I capture the determination in this Osprey's eye...the catch of the day, the movement, the water, nope the water leans towards impressionism....the struggle continues... The life surging in the Osprey's eyes, yet fading in The Catch.
Hi. My name is Leslie Lewis. I have been working as an artist for over 30 years with my husband Markus. Everything is a canvas to us... we started with canvas, went to walls, then to clothing- designing and then painting on it... or painting on cloth then transforming it... and all along the canvases have been there... still painting. Still loving it!
