Every year we hear more reports of the impact of chemicals on our environment. Do we just keep on running, or do we stop and see the disappearing building blocks of life around us?

This piece started with a walk on the rail trail. Early spring. The flowers stopped me...I photographed, then painted them... Then last year a friend's bees all died...again....the people in the neighborhood using chemical trucks to spray their lawns turned out to be the diagnosis.

Hi. My name is Leslie Lewis. I have been working as an artist for over 30 years with my husband Markus. Everything is a canvas to us... we started with canvas, went to walls, then to clothing- designing and then painting on it... or painting on cloth then transforming it... and all along the canvases have been there... still painting. Still loving it!
