This piece is an acrylic collage, containing only primary colors, black and white. I used the patterned inside of remittance envelopes sent with bills I received. The clear plastic 'window' parts can be lifted to show charcoal and pen landscapes and views of places I've visited (home, the beach). The darkest black collage color is actually a stone lithograph I printed based on drawings of the tile in my bathroom.

My name is Lauren Kinlaw. I am from Bladenboro, NC and live in Greenville, NC. I have two Bachelor of Fine Art degrees from East Carolina University, in Fine Arts with a concentration in Printmaking, and Art Education, with a minor in Art History. My work varies; I silkscreen and block print on fabric and paper, but also enjoy drawing, painting and building collages. Currently I work full-time as a veterinary assistant, but would love to be able to sell art full-time. So....make my dream come true!!! Just kidding, but not really. Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
