Shells glistening under the foam of the soft little waves rushing gently onto the sands of the shore surprise your eyes. The play of light reminds you to let joy play upon your lips. Smile. Remember simple pleasures like hunting shells by the shore. Think about the coolness of the water caressing your hand as you reach in to pick one up! Let it all go, and just be at peace!

As a lifetime artist, my gift has carried me through doldrums, heartbreak, joy and celebration. As I have returned to doing art everyday, my soul is being strengthened and healed of wounds and vices. With gratitude for the opportunity to give the gift of healing and joy, I offer my original pieces to you. My undergraduate degree is in art from the University of Southern Indiana. From 5th to 9th grades, I studied watercolor with Judy Wengrovitz, an amazing teacher and artist. My style is influenced by my favorite artists: Whistler, Winslow Homer, Sargent, Monet, El Greco, Sorolla, and many others. Ideas come to me as I see places or as visions when I am praying. I create sketches and notes and import photos to use as idea bases using an app called Notability. Then I get to work. Usually music of praise or the rosary is on in the background, but I find that I do not directly hear them. In addition, time is suspended. Timers remind me to eat or to stop at a certain time to fulfill obligations. Painting is a time to commune with another reality.
