This painting is oil on paper board. It is the view from my former bedroom in Malden, MA (near Boston) looking out in the kitchen. You can see all my papers tacked up on the wall, my record collection, and other drawings and painting of mine tacked to the door. There is even a stretched canvas leaning up against the door frame. Working in oil on board allowed for a thicker build up of paint. The color scheme is unique and it has sort of a Van Gogh feel, especially the window in the kitchen. I love this painting because it is enjoyable to take in and also because of the memories it brings back.
