This is an abstract painting composed of several layers of different marks. The base layer resembles some sort of grid or the windows of a skyscraper. Thick lines of paint in a variety of colors and thin drawn lines interlock with the bottom layer. It has a contemporary, urban feel to it, and almost resembles graffiti. The variety of marks and colors makes for a rich viewing experience. The composition reminds me of the board game Chutes 'N Ladders, hence the title.
