The composition of this painting came from an old vintage photo of a man and his dog. The image was painted in white on a light blue background. I was interested in making a very subtle painting. The effect is that of a large sketch done in paint. It is very ephemeral - almost seems like a vague memory appearing in your mind. I'm a dog person through and through so I was drawn to the subject for that reason. The painting has a frame of thin light colored wood.
