This is an original oil painting on top of a silkscreen of a photograph of me as a little girl getting out of a claw foot bathtub as a little girl. Making a variety of versions of an image based off the same original photograph was the driving force behind this series, of which there are many successful pieces. They can be hung alone or purchased together and hung as a group, which has a powerful effect.

Laura Makinen was born (1980) and raised in the city of Chicago. Art and music have been instrumental throughout her life.
