I am an abstract impressionistic painter working in acrylic on canvas. I live in Tucson, Arizona with my husband, son and two little black dogs (Aayla and Diesel). I work out of my home (Taken over the living room). Most of my days are gentle in a quiet neighborhood. I love walking into my studio early in the morning with a cup of coffee. The light through the windows is my inspiration and hope in-a-new-day. I paint in quietness- a peaceful time spent with God. Meditating on His worlds through music, or in quiet thought. I hope to convey emotional and spiritual stories on to the canvas. The emotions that I felt, my thoughts, my energy- I give myself in each painting. When one of this story continues on in someone's days... my heart is forever grateful. HISTORY: I grew up in South Korea and moved to the U.S. when I was 20. Loving the American style- I enjoyed my new life in sunny Southern California. Then followed a friend to visit Arizona, and fell in love with Tucson- oh, also met my husband and fell in love. Set my foot down in Tucson, and earned a degree in advertising/graphic art. I went on to work at a small print shop with a wonderful boss who later allowed me to work from home part-time when my son was born. I homeschooled my son during his middle school years- this was when I started painting. The thought of painting has always existed in my dreams only. I speak of my dream to my husband at times- then one day, my sweet husband decided to nudge me over. He convinced me just to try one- he gave me a photo of his friend going camping on a mule. I bought me some oil paints and a canvas. It was kind of scary in thoughts of may not do well. Then it was a fantastic experience when the finished painting looked good. I fell in love! I permitted myself to go for it. Over the years I had much fun experimenting- I am a self-taught artist. I have come to like the acrylics for quick drying to work in layers. Now I like to slow down and enjoy the whole process of painting by its colors, and by each brush strokes. I seek peace in all things- I believe it is a constant, and conscious choice.
