The title for this piece is inspired by the heavy texture created with the layers of oil paint as well as the blues and vague greens. The pink highlights represent the bright subtleties on the ocean floor dotted by corals and stones. This painting was created as yet another experiment of technique done by letting the mineral spirits and thin oil paint run together and create these unique patterns and textures. Such a technique was one I discovered in high school and has been my favorite way to create ever since which is always inspiring to me in a nostalgic way. The painting's edges match the colors of the face but the textures and patterns do not match.

I'm a young, self-taught artist and am just beginning the experience of sharing my art with others by marketing it. I create as an outlet that sets free my mind and exposes my own consciousness in a tangible format. I generally use oils to paint my abstract works, by using heavy texture and sticking to neutral colors for the reason of the comfort and calmness they bring to a room. I hope others can enjoy my pieces as well and find a cozy spot for them in their home :-)
