My work explores the process of materials and color as they work together. I am inspired by the interconnectivity of my subject and its surroundings which I strive to emulate in my use of materials and process. Working with each material and color in tandem, I weave the layers of subject and background together. Inspired by artists like RB Kitaj and Paul Cezanne, my work borders on the line between abstraction and impressionism.
