This 24x48 canvas with thinner depth at 1/2 inch sides, has actual sand from my beach in it on the shoreline part. I was inspired by the views while approaching an island and it reminded me of Survivor Beaches. The jungle has amazing texture and dept as well to it by utilizing acrylic and vitrial techniques. The colors are vivid and mysterious and the entire painting makes you want to jump on a plane and head to the beach. Or it would go nicely in a beach house as well. It is painted on all sides to match the front.
My art is inspired by the beauty that surrounds me living in East Texas. Each day there is something beautiful to look at that leads me to create. I am not limiting my art mediums, as the idea of each piece is unique, from acrylic, to oil, to sand to copper. I tend to do more abstract, but am also enjoying the details of landscape and still life.
There is nothing more interesting to me than viewing another artists work and seeing the images that only I saw in it come out and I hope that you can also enjoy that in my work.
