Ready to Hang

Hope on the Horizon is a deep rich painting with oranges, blues and a touch of copper, to show the remaining sunlight. It is a 10 x 20 painting with large 1.5 inch sides. The sides are painting to match the front and there is no need to frame. It comes ready to hang. Art is in the eye of the beholder, so you may see a lonely tree, or you may see “Hope on the horizon”. It is kind of a glass half full or glass half empty thing. I found it encouraging that my daughter’s 12 yr old friend saw it as Hope on the Horizon. So this is named for her.

My art is inspired by the beauty that surrounds me living in East Texas. Each day there is something beautiful to look at that leads me to create. I am not limiting my art mediums, as the idea of each piece is unique, from acrylic, to oil, to sand to copper. I tend to do more abstract, but am also enjoying the details of landscape and still life.

There is nothing more interesting to me than viewing another artists work and seeing the images that only I saw in it come out and I hope that you can also enjoy that in my work.
