The reason I chose the title for this piece is that sasco creek empties into the sound at this beach. I love to look out at the sound from this spot, I paint it over and over.

In fall, the phragomites reeds turn rusty, and the mud looks really dark.

My name is kburke500. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. kburke500 began studies with regional painter Rachel Farrington in 1963. Years later she studied with Cynthia Snow, William E. Parker and Gerard Doudera. Watercolor was her first medium because of its accessibility. Today she uses watercolor, oil, photography and computer graphics to complete creative projects. She has shown at Silvermine, Rowayton Arts Center and with the Greenwich Artists Society.
