When my husband retired, the Tulsa Medical Society honored him with a dinner at the old historic Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa. We spent the night there and the next morning on the way to church I snapped some photos of downtown in the rain. I always wanted to paint Tulsa in the rain so it was my opportunity. This is one of those paintings.

My name is Kay Deardorff. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I began painting in the 70's when I was single for "occupational therapy". After retiring in the 90's I started taking lessons and after selling my first painting in 1995 I began painting full time. I have taken part in many workshops around the world from artists that I admire their style i.e. Neil Boyle, Kim English, Ken Auster, Chris Morel and many others. I am a Registered Nurse and my husband is a OB-GYN physician, now retired. We live in Bixby, a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
