The deep pinks, reds and oranges color the sky as the heavy black silhouettes of desert wild brush and cacti sit in the foreground of this desert story. I created this piece upon the return of my visit to Arizona where I was so impressed with the vibrant colors of the sky. The title "Redzona" is the combination of the vivid red sky hues and my memory of Arizona. Painted with premium acrylic paints, layered on a stretched, wrap around canvas with staple free sides. Painted around the edges for a finished look. Heavily textured in the foreground to indicate the thick wild fauna. Protected with 2 coats of Liquitex gloss varnish.

I acquired a fascination with art at an early age. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, as a child, I received numerous awards and merits including a scholarship to attend art classes at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. My work was displayed at The World’s Fair in Flushing, New York and was shipped to Japan for a special exhibition at an elementary school. I hold a degree in Fine Art and Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. After graduating from FIT, I moved to beautiful Southern California to work as a freelance illustrator for well-known magazine companies such as SEA Magazine and ROAD & TRACK. Later on, I accepted the position as Assistant Art Director for BIARRITZ Magazine which featured my unique illustrations. Based in Anaheim, California, I currently enjoy being a full time artist creating commissions for clients in a variety of media. I work in charcoal, pastel, pen and ink as well as acrylic and oil paint.
