What is she looking at? Colors play interest on the woman in my painting giving off a "Hitchcock" appeal. I wanted to exaggerate the undertones colors of her face and create a look of abstract and surrealism in her expression. Painted with Premium Acrylic paints layered on a wrap around stretched canvas with staple free sides. Painted around the edges for a finished look. Protected with 2 coats of Liquitex Satin varnish. Professionally installed wire hanger in the back.
I acquired a fascination with art at an early age. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, as a child, I received numerous awards and merits including a scholarship to attend art classes at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. My work was displayed at The World’s Fair in Flushing, New York and was shipped to Japan for a special exhibition at an elementary school. I hold a degree in Fine Art and Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. After graduating from FIT, I moved to beautiful Southern California to work as a freelance illustrator for well-known magazine companies such as SEA Magazine and ROAD & TRACK. Later on, I accepted the position as Assistant Art Director for BIARRITZ Magazine which featured my unique illustrations. Based in Anaheim, California, I currently enjoy being a full time artist creating commissions for clients in a variety of media. I work in charcoal, pastel, pen and ink as well as acrylic and oil paint.
