This painting depicts fall foliage in the Catskills park in upstate NY. You can see the mountains peeking through the steadily dwindling leaves. I love the fall as landscapes change almost hourly! Thanks for looking
I have always loved to paint. Although I opted to pursue a career as a clinical psychologist, my love of/involvement in visual arts has never dulled. Nature provides endless inspiration for me. To me, nature in all forms offers a peek at the universal formula of physics and biology, but can be simultaneously emotionally evocative and poetic. It is predictable and orderly but also moody and mysterious. I try to render landscapes and scenery in a way that reflects the juxtaposition of science and human examination of it. Thanks for looking!
