Sex sells, plain and simple. The more sexually charged images or risqué videos one posts, the more “likes” one receives, and, thus, the more popular one becomes; whether it’s depicted in a negative or positive limelight. This one person now has our, the viewers’, attention, whether we want to admit it or not. That being said, does it really matter what kind of attention one receives? Attention is attention, good or bad. They still have us, we now acknowledge them, and they win… Or do they?
My name is Kasie Krasnai and I am a full time working artist who currently resides in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I have earned my BA from Moravian College with a concentration in painting. There, I was awarded The Daniel W. Tereshko Memorial Prize in studio art, which was granted to only one of the senior art majors who demonstrated outstanding creative, technical, and intellectual achievement. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been intrigued with the creative process and art making. I primarily work with oil paint and have a strong focus on portraiture and figurative subject matters.
