Ready to Hang
The title 'Morning music'. . is descriptive of the movement of the stems and branches which seem as if they are singing and dancing in the morning gentle breeze. The overall color and feel of this painting is symphonic and harmony could be heard in between the branches. Sometimes when I paint, I just let the brush and colors run free and fall wherever they may.
This is an acrylic painting on gallery wrap canvas. The painting extends to the sides. no framing required. it is ready to hang right out of the box.
Growing up in southeastern Nigeria Kanayo keenly observed the colors and designs on the Dutch-wax fabrics his father,a textile dealer, imported from Holland and this Kanayo says was his introduction to the magic of colors. After obtaining a BFA degree from the University Of Maiduguri in the former ancient Kanem Bornu Empire , he worked as an art instructor at a college of education where he taught human drawing and landscape painting. He left a year later after his national service for MC & A, a Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising agency where he was designer / illustrator and a senior visualizer. Three years later Kanayo packed up and left the country for the United States to paint full time. " I will always give credit to my role model, the man who inspired me the most to pursue art as a career, Mr Roland Ndefo, my High School art teacher at Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha who we fondly called 'Art Master'". Today, this prolific artist says that he is inspired by all the colors and shapes he sees in nature. "This is why I love painting scenery.... I can move trees, clouds, houses and other elements around and they never complain." Kanayo's paintings are collected worldwide by both private and corporate entities including banks, prestigious hotels and resorts. His works have been shown on the very popular CBS TV series, Hawaii 5-0. Represented by galleries nationwide Kanayo Ede is a published artist. This portal offers you original paintings and limited edition hand embellished prints from his studio in North Georgia.
