The reason I chose the title for this piece was I had stared a painting previously on acrylic paper then decided to cute it in half and adhere to something new.
I created this piece testing the mind of abstraction on 3.30 I started it and finished it 4.1.15 knowing when to stop was the true test for me.
My inspiration in creating this piece was a old bike I passed by on a run it was green and blue yet the rust turned it a beautiful gold and silver color. Thus my color theory arrived. Mixing crackle paste, glass beads and mold I created textures. To which I added a matte and gloss mix of green, pale blue, dove grey, silver and antique gold. It's two separate pieces each are 8 in x10 inch. The sides are painted dove grey mixed with silver.
This piece is on Back stapled traditional canvas, wood frame profile. Professional frame construction with kiln-dried beveled stretcher bars.
A UV-resistant gloss varnish has been applied to help protect and preserve the artwork. This is 100% original work and not a print. The piece will be signed and sent with a certificate of authenticity upon purchase.
